Rick has over 20 years of experience and a wealth of expertise in property management. A graduate from Reading with BSc in Land Management, Rick is a qualified Chartered Surveyor. He spent 11 years at Gooch & Wagstaff (now Colliers CRE) prior to joining Helix Properties in 1998.

Rick advises on comprehensive turn-key solutions to owner-occupiers, private individuals, banks and receivers and small and medium-sized property businesses.

He advises clients on both pre and post acquisition asset management strategy, as well as providing expert, tailored services in property management and accounting.

Rick offers specialist property management expertise to tenants and landlords built on the philosophy that long lasting tenant/landlord relationships are the key to successful asset management.

Through the property management business, Helix Properties, Rick manages a commercial real estate portfolio, valued at £0.55 billion, comprising all asset classes (office, retail and industrial) throughout the UK. This currently includes 50 buildings, 225 tenants, a £30 million rent roll and £2 million service charge per annum. Helix Properties was established by Robin Fell, Brian Chard and Rick Slater to provide specific property management services to clients including rent collection, physical property management, income and expenditure control and reporting, building maintenance lease renewals and rent reviews.
